At the event we will honor this legacy of academic excellence and commitment to Latino communities and share our vision for the future. The evening's program will include a historical overview by Director Amalia Pallares, a recognition of the people who have helped LALS develop and mature through four decades, and a keynote speech by Professor, Mary Kay Vaughan, one of the early professors of the program. During this program we will announce the newly created LALS endowment that will sustain scholarships to support our students.
