October 29, 2014

6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Address

1852 W 19 St, Chicago, IL

Come celebrate 40 years of Latin American and Latino Studies.
Registration information is at LALS 40th Anniversary Information page.
At the event we will honor this legacy of academic excellence and commitment to Latino communities and share our vision for the future.  The evening's program will include a historical overview by Director Amalia Pallares, a recognition of the people who have helped LALS develop and mature through four decades,  and a keynote speech by Professor, Mary Kay Vaughan, one of the early professors of the program.  During this program we will announce the newly created LALS endowment that will sustain scholarships to support our students.  By attending you are contributing to our students’ successful completion of a degree.  Food and refreshment will follow with an opportunity to reconnect with classmates and friends, and to make new ones.

Thank you very much for participating and bringing your memories, friends and support.
