Join us for a special presentation by Lorena Nava, UIC undergraduate student, as she discusses the framing, approaches, and interpretations of femicide. Lorena's two year project «The Language of Femicide" is a digital article on the discourse surrounding femicide in Mexico.

There have been complex discussions on what femicide means and how the term-and its associated concepts-has impacted our understanding of gender-based violence. Nava has come to identify the collection of people's verbally expressed ideas and sentiments surrounding the term "the language of femicide." We invite you to learn about femicide within politics and activism.
