About
Dulce is a Brazilian student, born and raised in the country’s smallest state. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), earned in 2024, and is the first of five siblings to pursue a graduate degree.
During her undergraduate studies, Dulce focused on fundraising and the internationalization of vulnerable communities in Latin America. She also engaged in research and support efforts for individuals in situations of refuge and migration - a theme that deeply shaped her academic journey. As a volunteer researcher with NAIR (the Immigrant and Refugee Reception Center at the Federal University of Sergipe), she contributed to initiatives supporting the reception and integration of refugees and immigrants in Brazil. Additionally, she worked with the International Relations Coordination Office at UFS (CORI), assisting with the cultural immersion of immigrant students.
Recently, her work has explored Brazil’s foreign policy and regional cooperation initiatives aimed at promoting and reaffirming the rights of Latin American migrant women. Her undergraduate thesis, titled Intersectionality in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights: Brazil's Position on the Case of Women Deprived of Liberty, marked the culmination of this academic focus and deepened her passion for Latin American international relations, a field she intends to continue exploring at the master’s level.
