About
Luisa J. Rollins is currently Program Coordinator in Latin American and Latino Studies (LALS) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She manages various aspects of departmental operations, including the LALS graduate programs (MA and interdepartmental concentration), programming and special events, and communications. Prior to joining LALS as Graduate Academic Adviser in 2018, she worked as a teaching assistant and instructor in Anthropology and as research assistant for various UIC faculty-led projects.
Luisa moved to Chicago from Miami, FL, in the dead of winter 2006 to work as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer and this city has been her home ever since. She holds a master’s degree in international business from the University of Florida and earned her MA in anthropology from UIC.
