About
Pâmela Morais holds a bachelor's in international relations from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil), where she specialized in topics such as whiteness and the intersections of race, gender, and nationality. At UIC, she has continued her research on such issues, focusing on DEI actions within international organizations and how they address whiteness. She has also acted as a teaching and research assistant. Before joining the LALS Program, she contributed to meaningful projects at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Brazil. She offered legal counsel to migrants and refugees as an intern at the Public Defender's Office. Beyond her professional pursuits, Pâmela enjoys immersing herself in the city, seeking cozy parks to indulge in her favorite books, and discovering new coffee shops.
