LALS Graduates Successful Transitions
Students and instructors work hard together to prepare our graduates for their varied futures. We are happy to announce that Jorge Mena, who recently graduated with an MA in LALS, will be joining the staff of La Casa Cultural Latina at UIUC as Assistant Director. Congratulations and best of luck to Jorge as he undertakes this exciting new challenge.
On another front, two recent BA graduates are moving on to graduate school. Tamatha Lee, recipient of the LALS Student Scholarship Award in September 2015 has been accepted to the MA in LALS and will begin this Fall. Arturo Luna Loranca, another 2016 BA graduate, will be starting graduate studies in History at UIC.
