LALS hosts annual open house

On September 27, 2023, the Department of Latin American and Latino Studies (LALS) at UIC welcomed the new school year with its annual open house. Jonathan Inda, Professor and Chair, welcomed students, staff, and faculty from across the university to the newly announced LALS Department. Freshly made tamales, champurrado, and refreshments were served.
A special thanks would like to be extended to all who assisted in this event. Special thanks to the School of Literatures, Cultural Studies, and Linguistics for allowing us to use their space and for being a great partner. To our other partners on campus, thank you for the support in our new department.
