About
Adriana Soto is a Zacatecana, daughter of Mexican parents. She works as a high school English, AVID, and EL teacher, Congressional debate coach, and as a leader in education issues as they relate to diversity, equity, and inclusion. In December 2020 she graduated from Northeastern Illinois with a master’s in Communication, Media, and Theatre. She is excited to be starting in the LALS program so that she can learn more about her culture (and the culture of so many of her students) and share this knowledge with others to strengthen roots and widen perspectives. Outside of the professional world she enjoys practicing yoga and other mindful activities, as well as anything related to the arts!
