Jennifer Ullmann Teixeira is a first-generation college graduate, born and raised in Brazil. She holds a BA in International Relations earned in 2022 from the Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC), where she achieved the highest final average in the history of the program (9.70 out of 10).
Her immersion in migration studies and issues began early in her academic journey. For five years, Jennifer volunteered in the GTARI - Refugee and Immigrant Support Working Group, a volunteer group within the university. She also worked for a year as a research assistant on the project, in the front of access to information, raising cultural awareness to deconstruct stereotypes.
Furthermore, Jennifer has three and a half years of experience working with foreign trade and international negotiations, with an emphasis on Latin American and Caribbean markets.
Brazilian foreign policy and cooperation initiatives have been her research focus, becoming the theme of her bachelor's thesis, titled "Brazil and Health Diplomacy: An Analysis of the Country's International Insertion and the COVID-19 Pandemic". She is passionate about Latin American international relations and aims to gain and produce knowledge through the MA, working for solutions for the development of the region.
